'Ello all!
Thought I'd take a minute to further describe and clarify some of the inner workings of Macabre Daze.
There is no master plot for the forum. You can develop any number of plots, in whatever fashion you so choose. There are different plots being played out at any given time, so check the Plots board for info. It's not a bad idea to keep the ongoing plots updated in that same section either. It's a great tool to refine and create new ideas and directions for your characters to go. From time to time a major plot is worked up, so keep your eyes open, and if you're bored, see what's brewing plot-wise.
Multiple characters are allowed, each needs it's own account, as our profiles are specified to each individual character.
Your characters are not limited to one post or thread at a time. If there are multiple plots you are involved in, that's fine, as there is no real linear fashion to the forum flow.
If you need a break for whatever reason, and are going to be away from the forum, that is absolutely fine. I have never had restrictions on that. There is no "you have to post every day, week, etc." here. I fully understand that things happen in life that may take you away from the forum (among countless other things) for indeterminate amounts of time. I'm not big on deleting chars for inactivity because so much can happen that may lead you away for a while. Loss of internet, or worse. It's ok. No worries. If you can drop us a message, even via another member, to let us know you're away, that's excellent. And if not, well, shit happens, eh?
I don't pester my members to hurry up and post, and I would appreciate it if they didn't do it to one another as well. So much is always going on that it's difficult at times to keep up or accommodate as quick as you'd like. Reminders are nice though, it doesn't hurt to mention nicely, "Oh, don't forget about ... thread, too." Because, honestly, I forget too sometimes. That's ok. Just don't be pushy, time's not always on our side, regardless of how much we want to sit in front of a computer for hours on end RPing. LoL.
Hmmm...I am sure there was much more I was going to say, but I am so easily distracted at times. Like now, lol. So I'll leave this as it is, and hopefully it sheds some light on a few things for everyone.
Have fun, be creative, push the limits.
Revel in the Daze!
