A Hunting we will go (Alice)

I stood just inside the treeline waiting for her to come out. Of course she had to look her best even though were going out into the wilderness to hunt and feed. But hey, that was my Alice. Everything she did was either made into a party or actually was a party.

I grinned when I saw her emerge form the house. She was dressed in a mini dress accented with long, thigh high boots and a charcoal gray duster. Her hair was its usual spikiness but the ribbon she had tied around her small face made her look even more like a child. She danced over to me and smiled up at me in that oh-so-innocent way she did. I returned the smile "Ready?" I asked her. I looked her choice of clothes over and asked "You know thats going to get dirty, right?' I reached over and pulled her in close to me. I breathed in the sweet perfume she was wearing. She smelled like lilacs, strawberries and peaches with a hint of sugar. "Mmmmm." I managed. No words could describe how she smelled. It was intoxicating.

Laughter form the house told me Edward was listening in. I flashed a playful glare at the house. "Lets go. Before Edward comes out to poke fun at us."

I took hold of her hand and together we raced into the woods in search of something fun to hunt.

I danced out to him, partly because I loved to dance, but mostly to show off my trendy fashions. I nodded my head when he asked if I was ready. Of course, he hadn't used so many words.

"You know thats going to get dirty, right?'

I looked up and to the left as if I were thinking it over. Then I looked down at my clothes, "It's ok, I bought two of everything I'm wearing". I smiled up at him as he pulled me closer to him. I heard him mmming me as he smelled my hair. I planted a kiss right below his ear on his neck. I knew it drove him crazy, but that's what I lived for...

"Let's go before Edward comes out and pokes fun at us."

He took me by the hand and I let him lead me out into the woods. I ran beside him, leaping over fallen trees, ducking under tree limbs, all the while holding hands. I laughed as the wind blew the ribbon out of my hair. I turned my head and watched as it floated in mid-air.

As we ran, I noticed her hair ribbon had blown away. I smiled. "I'll buy you a new ribbon." I said "A whole box of ribbons." I chuckled as I raced along with her, skimming the trees as we went. Feeling the wind blowing past my face, the elation I felt from my Alice as she ran along side me. She was so happy. She was making me feel like I could burst from being so incredibly happy. It was then that I caught the scent of the animal. I stopped abruptly, yanking Alice to a halt with me. "Cat." I commented, as I scented out the creature. "After you, my love." I offered her, making sure to nuzzle my face into the smallness of her neck as I spoke to her.

The beast was about three or four hundred yards in front of us, feasting itself on the carcass of a deer it had recently brought down. What better time to make an easy kill than to take it out when its at its most vulnerable. I released my grip on Alice's arm and reluctantly pulled back from her neck and smiled at her.
