It's A Charmed Life!
Some things are different here in our little Charmed world. First, and foremost Inspector Andy Trudeau did not die at the end of the first season. Sadly, he was injured and hospitalized until he recovered. Thus began his acceptance of Prue and her sisters being witches, which led to an eventual relationship with the head witch herself.
Just like season three, Prudence Halliwell was killed by the demon Shax; a major devastation to her sisters, Andy, and their friends. Shortly after her burial, Piper and Phoebe met their half sister, Paige. The Power of Three was reunited, though resistance was met from both sides. Only one short year later, Prue was granted status as a Whitelighter. This was a gift given by the Elders in repayment for all the good she had ever done while a mortal Witch. Needless to say, her reappearance shocked her sisters, but also overjoyed them. For all her efforts, a dead woman coming back to life in San Francisco, and in relation to the Halliwell's was a little too conspicuous, so she now takes up work at Magic School.
However, with her re-emergence, and the Elder's decision that she take on both her Witch and Whitelighter powers, the Power of Four was born between the Halliwell Sisters. For a time, and even still, the four sisters battled evil, as was their destiny. They also fell in love, married, and had families.
As the Charmed Ones grow older, and their children grow into young adults, the new generation has been making the transition into taking over the family business. Because of this new rise in power amongst the Charmed Ones, a new prophecy has been found. A prophecy called The Power of Six. The children of the Charmed Ones, male and female heirs to the magic are now in line for a great power on the side of Good. Select children, from each of the sisters families have been chosen, showing their connection with each other. Despite a certain connection, they have only just now learned of their destiny as the new Charmed Ones, and apparently it was just in then nick of time. A new Source is on the rise, and he is very powerful.
Meanwhile an original group called The Trinity is finally making themselves known. They are a group of four beings of mixed races human, demon, witch, darklighter all mixed together they aren’t just one thing. These 4 beings have lived for many years and have lived on both the side of good and evil never feeling like they truly belonged to either side. They all came together over 200 years ago deciding that someone who was neutral needed to help keep the balance between good and evil even. In order to do so they would decide to kill whoever was the reason that caused the balance to be uneven and have been doing so for a long time. They have decided the upcoming Power of 6 will be tilting that balance greatly in the favor of good and now have chosen to either keep them off their game or kill them. Whichever method seems more necessary time will only tell.
