How did you find us? Look back at my David app because I don't remember
First Name: Armand
Last Name: Unknown
Middle Name: Unknown
Age: Approximately 500
Height/Weight: 6'1"/165 lbs.
Eyes: Green
Hair: Auburn
Character description/personality:
On the outside, Armand can seem cruel and cold. After Lestat came along and told Armand's coven that they didn't need to hide underground any longer, Armand destroyed most of the members, rather than have them listen to Lestat. He then got his revenge on Lestat by having Claudia killed. But Armand really isn't all that mean or evil. After Lestat shook up his coven, he begged Lestat to let him accompany him up above because he didn't know how to survive in the mortal's world on his own. Inside, he longs for a companion--someone who can help him get by in the world for all of eternity. But he's always going to keep up his tough exterior, even if that means other vampires don't find him the most agreeable being to be around.
Persuasion: Neutral
Type of Creature: Vampire
Powers: Armand possesses many of the common powers that all Anne Rice vampires have. He can fly. He can read mortals' minds (and other vampires if they haven't closed off their mind). He also has a vampire's superhuman strength and speed.
Weaknesses: He loves art and the other humanities. He has a soft spot for the irresistible Lestat and has tried to get the younger vampire to be his companion. Armand was given the Dark Gift when he was only seventeen, before his maker thought he was ready for it.
History:
Armand was born as Andrei in the fifteenth century in what is currently Russia. He spent his childhood painting religious pictures. And when he was riding to deliver some icons that he had painted, he was captured by the Tartars and taken to Constantinople to be sold in the slave trade. Andrei was sold to a Venetian brothel. But it wasn't long before the centuries old vampire Marius came and bought Andrei, renaming him Amadeo. Marius took Amadeo to his home, where he took care of other young men that had been abused.
It wasn't long before Marius fell in love with Amadeo. He wanted him to live forever but he wasn't going to give the young boy the Dark Gift until he thought he was ready for it. But Amadeo was impatient. He wanted to be a vampire now. So, to rebel against Marius, Amadeo seduced an English Lord. But Amadeo realized how foolish this all was and came back to Marius. The Lord didn't take that too well and came to Marius' home one day, wounding Amadeo with a poisoned blade when the boy was only seventeen. Marius didn't have a choice. He turned Amadeo into a vampire.
Marius and Amadeo didn't live together long though. The Children of Darkness came. They set Marius on fire and kidnapped the newborn vampire. Amadeo was tortured into believing in their ideas that they served Satan and couldn't live among mortals. In 1580, he was sent to Paris to lead their coven over there and renamed Armand. Everything was fine until two centuries later when Lestat de Lioncourt came along and told the Paris coven that they didn't need to live underneath a cemetery--that they could easily walk among mortals without having to be worried about being discovered for what they really were.
Rather than let them believe what Lestat was saying, Armand destroyed most of the coven members himself and then begged Lestat to be his companion. Lestat declined, so, instead, Armand joined the Theater of the Vampires that Lestat owned. And then Lestat made Louis and Claudia. Claudia tried to kill Lestat, and she and Louis came to Paris. Claudia's crime was found out, so Armand had her killed and then persuaded Louis to stay with him.
The two of them only managed to stay together for a few decades before Louis wandered off on his own. Soon, though, when Daniel Molloy, the writer of Interview with the Vampire, came looking for Lestat, he found Armand instead. Armand immediately found a new companion in him. Daniel wanted to become a vampire but Arman didn't want to turn him. But, when Daniel drove himself near death, Armand finally did give him the Dark Gift. But the two of them didn't stay together.
And then Lestat went on one of his rash adventures, bringing back the religious relic of Veronica's veil. This revived Armand's religious fervor, and he went out into the sun. But, being old and having the blood of an ancient vampire running through his veins, it didn't kill him. Two mortals--Sybelle and Benji--helped heal Armand. Armand then went off to write his own book: The Vampire Armand. He left Benji and Sybelle in Marius' care. Marius turned the two of them into vampires, thinking that was what his fledgling wanted. Armand didn't, and this gracious act of Marius' left Armand feeling bitter towards his maker. Armand now wanders the world alone, wondering where everything went wrong.
