"Help me!" cried a little girl as she ran down the aisles of tombstones. She looked behind me as a demon ran after her-an ugly bald guy with gray skin and red eyes. She scurried behind a nearby tombstone. I am not too far behind. I beckoned her to come up to me. She crept up to me and then I orbed her to an empty malelusuem that is nearby. "Stay here," I said to her. She nodded. I got up and walked out of it then closed the door behind her. I flung my arm having the demon (who had stopped and watched me) back. He landed on his back. I took out a potion I had brewed earlier. When he stood back up I threw it. He exploded in flames. But seems he's not the only one there. Suddenly the ground shook and three to four vampires popped out from the ground. "Great," I muttered.

I'd been casing the graveyard for about an hour. Dusted one raggedy ass vamp near the rear entry gates, but hadn't heard a peep since. Well, until about 2 seconds ago. A scream tore through the quiet graveyard and I was off at a dead run. Instead of dodging the countless markers, I leapt up onto one and propelled myself to the top of a nearby masoleum. I sprinted across it, leapt to the next one, and the next, until I landed, crouched on the last. Chris had just dispatched a demon with one of his potions. Since the girl wasn't screaming anymore, I figured he'd done his WhiteLighter thing and saved the day.
The ground around Chris erupted, spewing vamps forth. "I didn't hear the dinner bell." I jumped down to land next to Chris. I pulled a stake from inside my jacket pocket and tossed it to Chris. "Remember hit 'em in the heart." He had all these nifty powers from being all Charmed and whatnot, but a stake was a sure fire way to dust a vamp, so long as you hit your mark. I was able to flash Chris a smile before rushing forward to take on two of the vamps at once. I had a stake clenched in my right hand, even as I swung my fist into one's face. I kicked out, knocking back the second, spinning to plant my heel into the first vamp's temple. He lurched to the side, I nailed him with an upper cut, bringing him upright again, and drove the stake home. One dust, about 3 more to go.

I caught the stake with one hand. "Right, in the heart, gotcha," I told Faith. "Good thing you showed up. I didn't really expect to see you again but I'm very glad you have came along." Why would staking vampires alone be fun? If you have someone with you it'd be twice as fun. I found that out last time when I had kicked some vampire ass with this girl. She had taught me a lot. I was also impressed at how she fought with one of the vampires. I even had watched her arriving to here with her slayer speed. That is what you would have when you have become an advanced slayer. Okay Chris no time to admire. Time to kick ass. I turn around as a vampire made his way towards me flashing his fangs with that ugly look on his face. He began throwing punches at me. I blocked his punches then kicked him in the stomach. He moved backwards. With another kick this time a roundhouse one, he fell to his back. I thrust the stake in his heart. After he turned to ashes I stood once more. Only two more to go. Another vampire noticed what I had done and moved towards me. "Come on, that's it, come to papa." I look over at Faith quickly. "How are you holding up, Faith?" I asked then turned towards the vampire as I now began fighting him.

Just as I dusted my second, I heard Chris speak up. "Five by five. You?" I glanced back after landing a nice right hook to number 3. He stumbled back, growled at me and lunged. I used his own momentum to flip him. The thump as he hit the ground hard was nothing compared to the rush I felt when I slammed my stake into his chest. "Not bad for early in the night." I straightened up and watched Chris finish off his vamp. Slapping him a high five after all the fangs were dust bunnies, I smiled broadly. "Nice slayin' my man! Seriously, you after my job or what?" I gave him shit. I pointed off to the mausoleum. "She cool?" I asked as I walked toward it. "Lemme guess, Whitelighterin' it and you came across the vamps. Was she just a snack? Or is something bigger brewin'? Figured you'd be in the know with all the angelic type shit you got goin' for ya. Whatever it is, I got your back hottie." I winked and opened the door to the mausoleum. "Yo, girlfriend, danger's over, coast is clear. You five by five?"

"I'm hanging in there, thanks," I told her. After I kicked the vampire and staked him once he landed on the ground, I stood up straight and smiled at Faith. "Not bad at all." I slapped her a high five also. "Thanks! I learned from the best. Well....maybe, that is if you don't mind," I added with giving her a wink as well. "No seriously I think whitelightering and being a witch is enough for me but I could also get used to taking over your job. I'm kidding. But honestly slaying is pretty damn awesome."
I look at the direction of the mausoleum where the victim was. "She's cool," I said to Faith. While we walked over to it, I explained a bit of what was going on. "Good guess and that was exactly it. Except she was just an innocent. A demon was going to turn her into ashes if I didn't step in. And then of course the vamps showed up." I smiled at Faith as I slapped her lightly on the back. "Thanks, Faith. I got your back also. Yeah its not being bad being an angel don't you think? Besides its all cool. The demon was a lower level demon, so things were pretty easy to take care of."
I watched Faith sticking her head into the doorway and called out to the little girl, then watched as the little girl walked out of the empty tomb. "Five by five?" she asked, her voice sounded like little chimes. I smiled at her. "Its a saying, meaning you okay." "Ohhh! Yep I'm okay, thanks," she said to Faith and then smiled at me. "And thank you mister for saving my life." "No problem. This is Faith and I'm Chris." "I also heard some other noises..." "Oh yeah more bad guys. But they won't harm you so it'll be safe to take you home." I turn to Faith. "Faith, I'll be right back. Just need to orb her to her home so that no one else can harm her. Is that cool? It'll take a second."

Chris said she was cool, so she'd be cool. He had that extra Whitelighter sense like I had Slayer sense. Which, was also cool. "Right on. Let's get her safe & sound then." I laughed and gave Chris a light punch on the arm. "Yeah right. You? Doing my job. No way. Don't get me wrong, you can hold your own. Plus you've got that whole witchy angel thing going for ya. But hey, let's face it. I'm Chosen." I smirked, nodding. "And it's not like I'll ever be up for a promotion to Whitelighter." I laughed again. Me? A Whitelighter? HA! Not in a million. I jammed my hands into my pockets as we walked over to the mausoleum where the girl was hiding out. "Best gig ever." How else would I respond to slaying be awesome? I mean, come on, I was built for it.
"Good for her that you showed up then." Chris was just one of those good guys, saving the world, one innocent at a time. That went for his whole fam though, from what I hear. The kiddo came out of her hidey hole, where Chris had stashed her, asking what five by five meant. "Yeah, you know. Five by five, as in, you okay? Just like he said." I nodded my head toward Chris. I winked at the girl, leaning down to her level. "Hey, you were really brave, kiddo. And now, all the bad guys are gone." Look at me, gettin' along with a kid. Never thought you'd see the day, right?
Chris was all ready to scoop her up and do that teleporting thing he does. Orbing or whatever. "Yeah, cool. Get the kiddo home. I'll be here. I'll do another quick round. Check out the sketchy spots for more nasties. You know." I grinned, shrugged, and headed off toward the South end of the cemetery while Chris did his Whitelighter thing.

"I was kidding! Well you know even if you weren't, you'd make a kick ass whitelighter but that's just me. I mean imagine that-Faith the Vampire Slayer-Whitelighter. Hell with you as one, the elders which is the highest of the whitelighters, would not have screwed up and would have definately do their jobs after you would have dealt with them. Considering I am half elder as well, still. I am glad for it because I also have one trick up my sleeve that demons or vampires doesn't expect it-Mr. Electrokinesis power. Not that I use it a lot. Well it fits you just as being Charmed fits me," I noted, though I still think she'd make an awesome whitelighter.
"Thanks Faith and its good you're here. Alright. I'll be right back." It was then that I scooped up the little girl in my arms then orbed out. I orbed her to her home where I took her straight to her room and tucked her in her bed. Her parents opened the door finding me near her bed and before they'd freak out I explained everything except for me being a witchlighter and stuff. It was then that they were glad and thanked me and so I told them that I have no problem doing so. After they left, I left also but through the back door and then orbed out, straight back to the cemetery. "Faith, I'm back!" I called out to my buddy while walking through the cemetery.
