How did you find us? I don't think I've ever left....
First Name: Calamity
Last Name: Jane
Middle Name: Smith
Age: 19
Height/Weight: 5'5", 120lbs
Eyes: Brown
Hair: Brown
Character description/personality: Calamity is easy going, with an odd sense of humor, but very moody. She makes friends easily, and loves being a witch, mudblood aside. She has a sweet tooth, and is often munching candy. She loves music, the harder the better more often than not. She loves spell casting. She doesn't take crap from anyone, and can be quick to anger. She weilds a mean wand.
She has a tattoo of a dove and the trinity symbol on the back of her shoulder, a swan on her ankle, and the Slytherin crest on the inside of her right arm.
Has a habit of writing on herself, always keeping a stash of sharpies handy.
And, well....she likes to blow stuff up, so fire is a huge fixation for her.
Persuasion: Good
Type of Creature: Witch
Powers: She can cast just about every spell she's ever learned or read about.
She has an affection for animals, and can talk to them, even snakes though she's not a Parselmouth.
She can 'sense' other witches and wizards, and often tell if they're good or bad.
She's very adept at blowing things up or setting them on fire.
Weaknesses: She's easily distracted. She can get angry quickly when taunted, and her anger makes her sloppy.
Sweets.
Sharpies.
Cute bad boys.
Fire. (The distraction factor)
History: My parents were late blooming hippies, if you can't tell by my name. My mother, Flora, wanted to name me something unique, and my dad, Jim, wanted something simple. He picked Jane, mom picked Calamity. So, as a joke, I became Calamity Jane. Smith. At least Calamity was a cooler name than Jane Smith. Still, it ticked me off to be called Calamity Jane. Not funny. I'd rather be called Cal or Amy.
When I was ten, I cast my first spell accidentally. What kid doesn't pretend to be a witch or wizard when they're young? I was waving around a stick in the yard, pretending there were bad guys coming to get me. I pointed the make-shift wand at a pinecone, shouted something and flung the stick up at the tree, the tree being the bad guy. To my surprise, the pine cone flew up and smacked into the tree.
Of course, mom and dad were thrilled. They told me there was a special place for kids like me. And I'll admit, at first I thought they meant the hospital. Where crazy people go. I insisted I wasn't crazy, that I made the pine cone fly. Dad believed me. I guess before he met mom he dated what he called, 'a Slytherin'. At the time, I had no idea what that meant, but I would.
The next year I was off to Hogwarts. A school for witches and wizards. I can't believe such a place exists! I was in complete awe for the entirety of my first year. I excelled in most of my classes, had a tawny brown owl named Shreik, a wand made of ash with one strand of a unicorn's mane inside it. I even became Slytherin's Prefect.
My years at Hogwarts flew by. I don't think I'd ever enjoyed something so much, let alone school. The only thing that ever got to me was being called a Mudblood. Ok, so I was muggle born, but so were a lot of witches and wizards. And some of us were better than any of the pureblood. Bet your ass that this girl knows how to duel.
Now that I'm out of school, I still visit Hogwarts, it was like my second home for most of my life. But mostly I'm just trying to figure out what to do next in my life. Maybe something in the Ministry of Magic.
