Once you get to know her she has quite a caring heart. She is honest and trustworthy. She is quite overprotective of her friends. Once you’re in her good books she’ll do nearly anything for you.
Persuasion: Neutral
Type of Creature: Human / Mutant
Powers:
Time control
-Turn back time.
-Slow down time (to whatever speed she wants, can almost freeze it). This makes her quite vulnerable and her open for attack as she has to enter a trance-like state.
History:
Shannon was born and raised in New York City. She always had dreams of being a famous singer like her aunt, but never got the breaks. She had a happy, normal childhood and had many friends. A well adjusted girl, they said. Sadly, that changed after her best friend died.
The two of them were laughing and being typical 16 year old girls when her friend slipped off the path onto the road. The driver didn’t have enough time to hit the breaks. Shannon collapsed next to her, crying and repeating, “No, no... It didn’t happen...”. Things started to move quite slowly then, and backwards. She stood up as things moved around her. She stepped back up onto the path just when everything sped back up again. Before her eyes, for the second time, she witnessed her friend get hit by the car. At first she thought it was just the shock, until it happened again. Gradually, she gained control over her power. At first it had serious limitations; she could only turn back 10 seconds, which wasn’t enough for her friend that day. Since then this has been expanded as she’s developed her power.
She never told anyone about her power and withdrew a little from the world. The shock of the death isolated her for weeks and the discovery of her ability made her feel like a freak constantly. It wasn’t something everyone could see, but she felt different. She spent two years barely existing anywhere, home or school. She never felt right anywhere, until she realised how much good her power could do.
One day she had to go to the bank for her mother. While she was there, one of the guys in the queue spun around holding a knife and grabbed hold of a woman. He plunged the blade into her stomach - random psycho attack. Immediately, Shannon thought, “Go back, go back, go back…”. Things blurred and shifted and a few seconds later everything was as it was. She called for the guard and pushed the woman off to the side. He was arrested and she was safe. That was a big turning point for Shannon. She began to embrace her power.
