It is with a sad heart that I tell you all Friday is my last night at work. We've closed down our operations at the motel. I will probably not be online this week (at least not during my normal nightly hours), as I have to help with packing up ALL our rooms as well as the office, and still perform the nightly audit.
I will do my best to pop online here and there from home, when I'm not running around like a monkey, but it will be sporatic for now.
Before you ask, I am ok, just sad to see a place go that's been in the heart of downtown for 48 years. 6 of those I've been employed here. The news was released on Sunday, shortly after an emergency staff meeting. We did find out that the board of directors wanted us to close last September, so we were lucky it continued on until now. I'll miss it, it was a good job and I worked with some good people.
Anyway, I'll do my best to be on now and again, but during this week I can't promise a lot of activity. What with all the packing & moving at work, and then the miscellaneous things I need to take care of outside of work. Oh, and the lovely job hunt that will shortly begin. I just wanted to let you all know.
Hopefully I'll see you guys soon, I apologize for my awayness, but as you can tell, it's something out of my control. After tonight, there will no longer be internet at work.
