Vampires come to Meyhem and then take the humans, lead them into the castle, and trick them into thinking it's a party. Then, they sink their teeth into them, and put them back where they found them saying it was some other cause of death. Or, they just dump them on the island and let the investigators continuing investigating. Now, the party is bigger than ever before and still continuing. Why? It's because the vampires are sick of starving.
Meanwhile, the vampire hunters are trying to stop these parties but the thing is, the vampires strike at different parts of the towns and have their parties in new locations; sometimes hundreds of miles away.
The humans have no clue what is really going on. They think it is just some kind of mass murdering gang. Some humans, though, do have a perspective on what is happening. And few humans, those unlucky few, have actually met vampires roaming the streets. The lucky ones have met "vegetarian" vampires whom just leave them alone while those unlucky few- well, let's just say they made a nice snack.
Some vampires want to be left alone from all this craziness and want nothing to do with it. Those are the few vampires that try to actually live amongst humans, not wanting to harm a single one.
