I was lying on my bed, thinking about what had happened within the past 24 hours. I had met my sister, someone who I never knew existed, I learned more about family history and I took an important step towards my new and improved future, one not ruled by my mother or anyone else. I also had a few cats and one dog that roamed around the room, trying to find the best place to lie down and sleep. My two cats, one was dark orange in color who I named Astear, the other was a mix of black, brown and whites in which I named Myran. My dog was black in color with a white patch on his chest, and I named him Raze. He was my companion, more so than the cats. I loved the cats but Raze was always by my side. He was sitting next to my bed, his eyes on alert. I couldn't help but run my hand along his head, knowing I could sleep without being disturbed. I think I did fall asleep, I remember looking at Raze, Astear and Myran before my eyes simply closed and my breathing became regular. Next thing I knew I was waking up, the only two animals around was Myran and Raze. Normally I wouldn't worry but something didn't feel right. So, I stood up, the sheet falling from my body as I slipped into my usual outfit, strapping guns to my hips and pushing loose strands of black hair out of my eyes.
I grab my coat and try to cast my mind out but somethings blocking it. With a snarl, my body begins to glow blue and Raze steps up beside me before the blue light surrounds us both. I was outside a jungle, I don't know how I got here since this wasn't a place I was aiming for. "Raze, something is wrong." I know that and I look at the jungle. "Stay."I order before stepping into the jungle opening, feeling a wave of calm that steals over me. Carefully, my feet begin to carry me before I jump up, grabbing a branch with my hands and swinging up. Landing on top, I glance around, calling Astears name. "Astear, come on little buddy. Where are you?" I keep calling, something tells me he is around here. But why, and how? It makes no sense until someone was trying to trap me. I begin to swing along the branches like a monkey before a sound below makes me lose my grip and I land on the jungle floor, my head hitting the ground the hardest.
"Ouch, man that fucking hurts." I let out a wolf type growl and feel my face getting wet. Raze was there, licking my cheek and I sit up. "Raze I told you to stay." I scratch behind his ears, wondering why he followed. Normally Raze was obediant, even though I hadn't had him long. "Alright." I stand up, rubbing the back of my head and neck. Through the trees, I see a flash of dark orange. "Astear!" I run, following the direction Astear was located. The pounding of paw steps is behind me, and Raze soon catches up quickly. The spotting of Astear doesn't last because his form disappears again. "Dammit!" I want to scream and stop my running. I try again to find him with my mind but still nothing. My senses didn't work well in this jungle which meant I would have to rely on other things. "Raze." I nod and he begins to pad off, heading deeper into the jungle to find any threats. If there was, he would come back and tell me. For now I lean against the tree, half closing my eyes and appearing as non threatening.
