The year is 2088. 90 years have passed since the time of the famous Harry Potter and his pals. Such a long time has brought around many changes in all forms of life. New technology, new lifestyles, even a new magic school.
Way back then, Potter and his friends never made it past their 7th year - in the middle of the year Voldemort caught and killed the Boy Who Lived. After that it was child’s play to take over the rest of the wizarding world. The Order was decimated and those who were left alive fled into hiding. And of course everyone knows what happened after that. It was the age of terror, and with Voldemort as Minister Great Britain was plunged into darkness for over 20 years. Hogwarts was deliberately destroyed and a new school - Jovian - built on the grounds near the ruins.
It isn’t clear what happened after 20 years. Some say that Voldemort was killed finally; others say he disappeared of his own will for unknown reasons. Whatever the case may have been, in 2018 Voldemort vanished without a trace, and no one knows a thing to this day. The wizarding community slowly began to heal from that dark age of terror, though the Death Eaters still dominated. Over the years the ideals of the Death Eaters faded, and nearly 15 years later muggleborns were allowed to attend Jovian.
It’s the way of the world for peace to eventually come to an end. The tenuous peace that has formed after so long is now broken. A group of wizards who still support the old Death Eater ideals has emerged, led by Riley Connelly and James Derringer. These new Death Eaters are already starting to recruit, though they are more of a group than before since there is no ‘Dark Lord’ to rule.
A resistance movement has also emerged from the shadows, led by Claire Nightsong, Indigo Turner, and Vincent Lewis. Right now their goal is to simply keep the peace, though some do fight back because they believe the ideals of the Death Eaters are wrong. However, there are also some among the resistance that don’t particularly care for muggles or muggleborns - they don’t agree that violence is the answer though.
To make matters even more confusing, Voldemort has surfaced again. Not many know this yet though, and after being gone for so long Voldemort is finding this new age very troublesome. The new Death Eaters have no desire to give up control to the wizard, and they find themselves just as much of an enemy to Voldemort as the resistance is.
