*Starting at the beginning of episode 2: Night of the Comet*
Stefan Salvatore has just moved into town. But, there have been strange "animal attacks". Regardless, Stefan decided to press on with his mission. He had to know the girl. The girl he saved from the car crash so many months ago. And, he met her. He met her in a cemetery, no less. And then, his brother came back.
Yes, you all heard right. Damon Salvatore has rolled back into town. He's been attacking the townsfolk. Well, he attacked Stefan, too, but that's irrelevant. He's curious about Stefan's new friend and will do anything to get a rise out of his brother. What Stefan doesn't know, though, is that Damon has a plan of his own.
Elena Gilbert is still recovering from her parents' tragic death. Her brother, Jeremy, has turned to drugs and she's trying to help him, too. Her life is falling apart. And then, she met a boy. She met Stefan Salvatore and he was perfect.
Finally, there's Tyler Lockwood. He's just another one of the jocks. But, he also has some family issues. His mother disapproves of his girlfriend and his father's borderline abusive. Vicki Donovan, his girlfriend, is in the hospital because she was attacked by an "animal" and she's turned to Jeremy Gilbert for comfort. As if all that isn't enough, he's trying to figure out why he gets so angry during the full moon.
The whole of Mystic Falls is tense. What will happen next?
