First Name: Quentin
Last Name: Danvers
Middle Name: Leigh
Age: 27
Height/Weight: 5’ 5”, 115-120 lbs
Eyes: Blue
Hair: Dark brown
Character description: Quentin is a tough chick with a dark sense of humor. She might not look like much, but don’t let her appearance fool you. She can handle herself in a confrontation – verbal or otherwise.
Quentin is a quick thinker and she’s good with strategy. People, not so much. She is strong willed and, although she’s willing to hear your opinion, she doesn’t promise to care about or consider it. She is very confident in herself in areas of combat and strategy, and has no patience for people who try to undermine her skills in these areas.
Although she’s good with planning, organizing, and fighting, Quentin’s people skills are somewhat lacking. She doesn’t have much tact and can be somewhat abrasive, but she usually doesn’t act this way purposely to irritate people. She often gets frustrated when people are put off by her personality and, as a result, pushes them even further away. She doesn’t trust many people and is secretly very lonely.
Quentin thinks differently than most people do. Most people see life in a linear way. A from B to C, and so on. Quentin does not for reasons that will be explained in her history. Instead, she sees life as more of a roller coaster. It moves forward, back, up and down, twists around, and then there are things caught within it as well as moving beyond it. She has a very unique way of seeing things. Some find it fascinating, others find it crazy, but it gives her an insight most people don’t have. As a result, she is more open-minded than she may seem and she is very good at problem solving.
Persuasion: Neutral
Type of Creature: Human
Powers: Astral projection, Premonition
History: Quentin was born on August 19, 1982 to Paul and Marie Danvers. She was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts and had three older brothers. Joshua Wilhelm, her oldest brother, was born in January, 1973. Next came Logan Mitchell in June, 1977, and then came Conrad James in 1979. Growing up, Quentin was a bit of a tomboy, always playing with her brothers or hanging out with her dad.
Paul Danvers was a professional boxer and two of his sons, Josh and Logan, followed in his footsteps. The three of them were like a clique within the family, always going off to train or fight. Quentin and Conrad spent a lot of time together and became very close. Conrad was more interested in reading and watching documentaries than getting punched in the face on a daily basis.
Although Quentin wasn’t interested in fighting professionally, she did have an interest in learning to box, if only to spar with her older brothers once in a while. Her father wasn’t keen on allowing this, but he didn’t have much of a compelling argument, seeing as half the family was involved in boxing. Her brothers trained her, not only in boxing, but in several areas of self-defense.
As if this wasn’t abnormal enough, Quentin developed a few strange abilities during childhood. She was often able to be in two places at once, sitting in a room watching TV and walking down a street in London at the same time. Unknown to her at the time, this was a form of astral projection, for lack of a better term. Her body could be in one place – her brain vaguely aware of what was happening there – and the rest of her could be somewhere else at the same time. Later, she’d find with a little practice she could bring her body to where she had traveled without it if she chose to. Not only could she go to different places geographically, but different times and different planes and realities. In this way she has had more experiences and encountered more beings than most people do in a lifetime. She also is often leading several different lives at once – having friends, homes, enemies and relationships in several different places, times, and universes.
It takes a special kind of mind to be able to lead a life this way, and it has its drawbacks. Because she’s sort of divided among so many different lives, she can’t seem to manage to fully connect with anyone, to allow anyone to fully know her – both on an emotional level and on a purely informative level. The only person who truly knows her is her brother Conrad. He has become her best friend and confidant.
Quentin keeps very detailed diaries of her life – otherwise it becomes difficult to remember what happened when and with who. She has several different names or aliases, including:
Tanya Livingston
Billie Conrad
Percy Whitman
Cornelia Dowell
Marlena Diamond
Character is from (series, book, creator, or author, if it applies): One of her personas, Marlena Diamond, is from Cloverfield, but everything else is original.
